Left Unfinished

I should be studying for my second law midterm, but I’m not. I haven’t all day. I just haven’t felt it at all today. I’m hoping that I’ll have some motivation in the morning…along with all of the other things I’ve had on my list to do.

After 5 days of being back from our weekend trip to Pittsburgh, I finally got around to unpacking my suitcase. I started a load of laundry this morning (towels only), and they’ve been sitting in the washer since about noon…oy.

I have art projects on the burner, and like any hobby, I need to make them a priority if I want to get them done. As you can see, I haven’t posted a Zentangle in a few weeks…that’s about how long it’s been since I’ve been on my sketchpad. This is also why I have the top of a quilt done (has been done for two summers), and not much else.

It’s been really bothering me lately about saying I’m going to do things, and not doing them. I have stacks of art projects, recipes, boxes of clothes from the winter that need to be labeled and moved into storage, and things I’ve purchased that need to be sent back. I’m particulary sensitive to it lately because I’ve noticed it in a few people in my life and it’s making me crazy, and I don’t want to be that way anymore.

That said, I should pop into bed so I can get a head start of getting things done tomorrow.

Smack Dab

I can’t believe it’s the dead middle of the summer.  I’ve been trying to jam as much into it as possible, and I’ve done a good job of it: there’s been brunches, two weddings, Comfest, and a two-day reunion with my high school classmates.

Still to come will be  a three-day to Pittsburgh and Kennywood, a white-water rafting trip in August, a trip to Columbus, and hopefully, my full vacation with Charlie to Marietta, too (side, check out this article).

I  finally got the bike out of the barn so that we could ride up to the park to watch fireworks. And since I had the rack on the car, K and I also finally got to our bike trip down the Bike & Hike Trail. It had been nearly a year since I’d been out on the bike, so of course, there needed to be some re-acclimation to the correct posture to keep the feeling in my derriere, but after a while, I went numb anyway, so it didn’t really matter.

We stopped along our route, and K and I both posed for a picture at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
