Sometimes — okay, a LOT of times — I have to remind myself that my first reaction should not be bitterness. Maybe some of this will help…

  1. A leftover cinnamon bun from last night’s dinner, tucked away and waiting for me to microwave it for an afternoon snack.
  2. Feeling a good kind of sore after pushing myself for 30 minutes with a trainer so I can feel better about my strength.
  3. Dinner tonight with a good friend.
  4. Though it gets dark early now, it’s nice to be able to see the sun set from my office window.
  5. Heated seats in my car.
