Like the sands through an hourglass…
It’s funny to think that I am starting my 5th year of NaBloPoMo, and how much it has changed since it started. I remember when it was a smaller movement, a labor of love from a well-known blogger.
Since then, it’s been bought by a larger blogging conglomerate, that is now managing the day-to-day operations. It feels very much like the “in girls” club, but I’m not about to bite the hand that might drive readers to my page.

Of course this year, like all years, somehow, November just snuck the heck up on me. I was so busy enjoying October, that I totally forgot that all good things come to an end.
There was no Halloween party this year, which was probably just as well: I was am broke as hell, and there was no way that I was going to be able to fashion a costume, plus have the stamina to travel, party, and visit in the span of a long weekend. This year, it was just better spent for me to spend a 4-day weekend relaxing at home.
I’m planning on spending part of this month covering some longer “articles” I’ve been working on; the status of my second Day Zero Project (spoiler: not so great); hopefully cover some other shorter, lighter topics I’ve been thinking about writing about, but needed to light a fire under my tuchus to get written.
So, that’s what I’ve got planned this year for NaBloPoMo’11. At least I have a plan this year, right?
Right?
