I can’t help but wonder whether I would have done more art if my art didn’t have to “say something”, or be my professors’ projects when I was in art school.

Two things:

1. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make me do your fucking projects, and
2. I was 20 when I quit my art career: what the hell did you expect me to say? I was 20 — I had no perspective, Jeebus!
